Yeah. This week was random at best, so I thought that this might be a good time for a recap. Not that I post stuff like this a lot, but yeah. Also, I needed something new to post.
The exams ended last Friday, and this coincided with my mother’s birthday. She picked me up from school to visit UP Diliman, for the sole purpose of taking pictures of the bulletin board holding the names of the UPCAT passers. We got lost at first because we misread a sign, but we were all right. Neither of us could stop being giddy. When we finally got there, the OFAD was already dark and closed. The lobby was still open, however, and the lights were turned on for our convenience (there was another girl who checked out her name on the list, and she went with her father). Here’s the picture!

There’s my name, sitting right next to 2012-12727 (my student number for the rest of forever!). The girl listed below me is my cousin, but I don’t know her that well. Anyway, after leaving, we went to SM North EDSA for a birthday dinner with my siblings at Shakey’s. The waiters danced for my mother, and I have the video to prove it. Only I can’t upload it if I don’t want to be disowned or anything like that.
Since the exams had just ended, I spent the long weekend bumming around the house, trying to get some of my literary projects to move forward. And overall, I was just happy. I was thinking, “You see, Mark? I don’t need you. I can make it without you!” Because I don’t think I told you guys, but last November I discovered he hasn’t kept his promise—not just to me, but to his MOTHER as well—to remain faithful. I tried talking to him for some time, but I gave up by the end of 2011 because I realized it’s no use.
And just as I was doing perfectly well with forgetting about everything bad that happened last year, he decided to make his presence felt again. :l First, he started liking my pictures, but I was able to ignore that. And then when I got to Twitter—surprise!—he had followed me. He started up a conversation with me, which I so hesitantly got into, but I was as vague and closed-off as I could be. Thing is, he asked for another chance, and he was waiting for me to enter college. Granted, I’m excited as well, but I have been since I attended my sister’s graduation at San Beda. It’s our little secret here on Tumblr, but I’m giving him that chance. There’s no guarantee we’ll get back together, but we’ll at least talk things over. And then we can work something out from there.
Well, the rest of the week was spent being sleepy in school and stuff. There wasn’t anything too special over the past few days, except for the release of the report cards for the third quarter. I’ve maintained my grades, which is a good sign for graduation! :) But these events still leave a few things ambiguous—my relationship(?) with Mark-kun, my friends’ relationships (since for some reason, I ended up being the voice of reason again), and basically, the rest of the school year. Only two months to go before total denouement for everything. Well, see ya!
